Gather it with Mining 40 using a pickaxe on Gold Ore nodes, though no node is placed in the world yet. It drops from Ankhemet, the Sand King (60% ×1–5). It can come out of Grand Azure Chest, Grand Crimson Chest, Grand Rose Chest and 12 other chests.

It is a crafting ingredient for 1 item through Smithing: Gold Bar (1). The number is how many one craft uses.
